Dr. Jonathan Henriques is a Senior Research Fellow at CSPS. He holds a JD and PhD from Indiana University. For over a decade Dr Henriques has been focused on South Sudan in state and peace-building spaces, including constitution drafting and governance capacity building, as well as advisory support during the IGAD peace process.
His PhD investigated bottom-up approaches to constitution-making in South Sudan, which he is developing into a book project. Dr Henriques is also currently researching the peacemaking and stabilization roles of local governance in South Sudan, with strategic implications for collaborative constituency engagement, community-focused policy making, and improvements to local service delivery.
