Workshop on Critical Analysis and Review of the R-ARCSS Implementation (5th – 6th November, 2019)
CSPS in collaboration with UNMISS and UNDP organized a two-day workshop on Critical Analysis and Review of the R-ARCSS Implementation. Hon. Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin, Presidential Advisor and Special Envoy and H.E. David Shearer head of UNMISS gave opening remarks on behalf of government and UNMISS respectively. Several leaders representing various institutions and parties to the agreement gave their remarks as well. The focus of the workshop was on the critical analysis and review of the six chapters of R-ARCSS as they were in 2015 and 2018. Five scholars with experience on political situation of South Sudan review the six chapters and presented their finding during the workshop. Over 70 people representing various institutions including parties to the agreements, diplomatic community, academia, civil society, business community, and high-level government officials attended this workshop. The workshop was closed by Hon. Agrey Tisa Sabuni, Presidential Advisor on Economic Affairs.
